The two villages of Gida and Jamdho under Mewang Gewog in Thimphu Dzongkhag will soon have access to sufficient drinking water.  Targetted to benefit 96 Households with an approximated population of 1000 people, De-suung National Service Department launched the project in collaboration with MoWHS on 27^th December 2021. With the launch of the project, the RGoB- De-suung partnership would have  executed 31 such projects.

The 6.57 million worth project will be undertaken by 50 De-suups with support from RBA and Dzongkhag Administrations. De-suups will built 14.7 kms long pipeline network with 3 FCR tanks and 15 water tap stands. The project is expected to complete within four months.

The launching of the project was graced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Dasho Dr. Lotay Tshering. Zhabtok Lyonpo, officials from MoWHS, HMS, De-suung HQ, Dzongkhag Administration and few community members also attended the launching ceremony.
