The Honorable Chairperson of the National Council and member of the DSP Steering Committee launched the Advanced Tour Guides 2.0 and Geriatric & Palliative Care DSPs at Phaduna in Punakha today.

A total of 45 De-suups are undergoing the Advanced Tour Guides & 17 De-suups in Geriatric & Palliative Care programmes.

His Excellency said, “It is His Majesty The King’s noble vision to provide De-suups with the skills required to earn a steady livelihood, so the DSP has been constituted with many important skilling programs with renowned experts from outside the country as well as well qualified co-trainers within the country.

You all are fortunate for having been selected for the training programs for the 2nd Advanced Tour Guides and Geriatric & Palliative Care, both of which are immensely important. If you can complete these courses well, I am sure they will be very beneficial for your future, and if you can become successful, that will be the greatest gift you can offer to His Majesty The King.

Mr. William Jones (USA) is leading the Advanced Tour Guide DSP 2.0 and Ms. Paula Mary Bronson (United Kingdom) will be training De-suups in Geriatric and Palliative Care.
