Martsalla water project, Samdrupcholing Drungkhag, Samdrup Jongkhar

Desuung National Service in partnership with MoIT and MoAL completes its sixth water supply project in Samdrupjongkhar Dzongkhag. The drinking water supply scheme under Martshalla Gewog, was formally handed over to Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhang for operation and maintenance on 28th June 2023.

The project engaged around 70 De-suups for a duration of 5 months, the implementation was supported by Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Dzongkhag Administration, RBA, and local government. It will benefit 75 households with population of 350 people. The construction was completed at a cost estimate of 7.97 million for 25km with different sizes of HDPE pipes, one intake, two FCR, five BPT and 75 tap stands.

The commissioning ceremony was graced by the Dasho Dzongda, Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag, and attended by officials from Dzongkhag Administration, De-suung office, RBA, MoIT, Gewog Administration and local community.
