11 households and Tshaphel Lower Secondary School which is soon to be upgraded to a middle secondary school in Eusu Gewog, Haa will have a reliable drinking water source coming September. The groundbreaking ceremony for the water flagship program was conducted today.
The three months project will be executed by 60 De-suups supported by RBA, Haa Dzongkhag and MoWHS. With the estimated cost of Nu 5 M, the project will construct a water intake structure and two reservoirs (30,000 and 4000 litres capacity).
Similarly, a 2.7-kilometre transmission pipeline, 2.5-kilometre distribution line and 11 household taps will also be constructed. The project will be handed over to the dzongkhag and gewog for ownership, operation and maintenance after its completion.
