Close to 50 households, one primary school and a Basic Health Unit in Padtsheling gewog under Tsirang Dzongkhag will now receive adequate clean drinking water. Two villages including Padtsheling maed and Tshakaling are the latest beneficiaries of De-suung National Service. The project is second of its kind in the Dzongkhag after the pilot project in Semjong.
Over 50 De-suups with two RBA officials along with an engineer and technician from Tsirang Dzongkhag administration worked for little over four months to complete the project. Constructed at an estimated cost of Nu. 5 million, De-suups have built 13 km long main line trenching, 02 intake tanks, 08 BPT and 19 new tap stands, while another 23 tap stands were renovated.
The project was launched on 22nd November 2021 and formally handed over to the local government on 4th April 2022. The formal commissioning of the project was graced by Tsirang Lam Neten in presence of officials from Tsirang Dzongkhag and community members from the two villages.
