The De-suung Café at the De-suung Club House was inaugurated by the National Council Chairperson H.E. Tashi Dorji earlier this morning. The Café will serve as a skilling center for De-suups as well as provide beverage services for the Club House.
His Excellency urged the De-suups make the most of this opportunity to upgrade their skills and discover their passion.
The first training in Barista skills was also launched today at the De-suung Café. The trainer De-suup Singye Wangchuk is a certified Barista and a Coffee Master with over two and half years of experience working in some of the leading coffee shop chains abroad.
The five De-suups undergoing the two-week Barista skilling have all completed the DSP in Pastry & Baking at Project Hope in Thimphu earlier. Upon completion of the skilling program, these De-suups plan to establish their own coffee shops or work in the Food and Beverage Industry.
