Basic Military Training First Batch

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – Basic Military Training, RBA

The De-suung Headquarters is pleased to announce Training for Desuups’ Basic Military Training First Batch and attachment with Royal Bhutan Army. A total of 500 De-suups ( 425 Male & 75 Female) will be selected.

**Registration for the Basic Military Training First Batch will be open on the De-suung website from 9:00 AM on 22nd August 2024 till 5:00 PM on 23rd August 2024. The registration link will only be accessible during this period. All those who have registered using the from during this period will be given equal chance to get shortlisted.**

NOTE (please read carefully)

1. Criteria for selection:
i. Bhutanese citizenship identity card holder (CID).
ii. De-suung Identity Card
iii. Security Clearance
iv. Should be between 20- 40 years of age as on the date of registration and the verification of                                   age shall be based on the CID as on registration date.
v. Minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches for male and 5 feet 3 inches for female
vi. Unemployed Desuups
vii. No prominent or unnatural marks(Tattoo of any kind ) on any parts of the body that will                                          have to be exposed when in uniform
viii. No hearing impairment
ix. Visual acuity of 6/6
x. No knock-knee

Security Clearance:

Apply for your Security Clearance and get it validated before the registration date.

2. Documents Required
i. Copy of Bhutanese Citizenship Identity card
ii. Two copies of passport size photograph
iii. Online approved Security Clearance Certificate

3. Disqualification:
i. Inability to produce any of the original documents required
ii. Physically/ Medically Unfit:
iii. Hearing and Speech impairment including stammering
iv. Visual impairment including squint eye
v. Knock knee
vi. Flat feet
vii. Pigeon Chest
viii. Bow Leg
ix. Prominent and glaring tattoos on the visible areas while wearing uniform and as deemed                                           inappropriate by the selection committee
x. Failing to report on time for any selection procedure
xi. Positive on NDPS or Pregnancy test
xii. If married and
xiii. Improper conduct and reporting under intoxication for the selection procedures.

4. Evaluation and Assessment Parameters:
The selection examinations for Recruits shall be evaluated in two parts with corresponding criteria as under:

Part I: Physical Fitness Exam : 60 percent
Part II: Deployment History : 40 percent
Total = 100 percent

I. 60% weightage for Physical fitness test shall be conducted as per the standard laid down in the Individual Physical Proficiency Exam of the Armed Forces:
⦁ 5 Kms;
⦁ Push up; and
⦁ Sit ups.

II. Deployment history : 40%

Employment Prospects:

After three months of Training at Wing IX, Pelrithang, Gelephu, successful candidates will be deployed as Desuups on a fixed-term contractual basis, determined by merit during the training.
