De-suung Crest is a design that is based on our traditional motif. The symbol resonates with our culture and religion. Dorji is the symbol of fearlessness and indestructibility.
The main shaft represents the institution of monarchy, expressing national unity, strength, and harmony; the pinnacle of the crest of De-suung is the Raven to symbolize the monarch, who is the Supreme Commander in Chief of the armed forces.
The Norbu denotes wisdom. The De-suung’s connection with society is metaphorically shown by wings in five colors, representing the lay, spiritual, executive, judiciary, and legislative.
